UMC offers the most economical method for in-place pipeline cleaning and maintenance using progressive pigging.   Pipeline pigs are devices that are inserted into and travel throughout the length of a pipeline driven by a product flow.  Pigs were originally developed to remove deposits which could obstruct or retard flow through a pipeline.

Advantages of the UMC method:

It is non-destructive to the inner pipe wall.

Long sections are cleaned (up to several thousand feet) in one operation.

There is minimum downtime for on-line customers.

It is effective in all piping materials, cast and ductile iron, plastic asbestos cement, concrete, cement mortar and epoxy lined.

Reductions, tight radius bends, and pipe size changes can be negotiated.
